Crimson Stain

Xin Nian Kuai Le everyone!!! As you know it's Chinese New Year today. It's actually the most important traditional holiday for Chinese people and we celebrate it for fifteen days!!! Yes!! It's that long. :D Chinese New Year started centuries ago to honor deities and ancestors. It is marked at the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar. So every year my family would gather for our annual reunion dinner followed by having our home cleaned to sweep away bad luck. We also hang red paper cuts for wealth and happiness. :) Isn't that really fun? Though here in the Philippines we can't really go to all the events during the 15days celebration since we also got loads of work to do but we always find time to celebrate and welcome the year's element and zodiac with bliss.

For my outfit post. I wanted to make it some kind of Chinese new year inspired but since I haven't had the chance to take pictures of what I wore last night in our family dinner, I had to look for some stock outfit shots.

This midi-dress is perfect for CNY. You could wear it to your annual dinner our incense lighting in the 2nd day. :)
I am so inlove with how red the dress is. It's some sort of bloody red, a crimson stain indeed.

Or wear it on your date this Valentine. If you and your beau's planning to have a date in a park, this dress could be a really good call.

Wishing you guys a great year ahead!!! Hope that the water snake would treat you right. :D

  4. Happy Chinese New Year! :) You look absolutely stunning in your crimson dress! I wish I had a pretty dress to wear as well, hehe. I celebrated Vietnamese New Year and I ended up wearing pink because I had nothing cute to wear that was red! ^_^
